We are thrilled to relay some exciting news from our esteemed partner, Dolby. ICTA is a trade organization formed in 1971 and represents companies involved in cinema technology, including cinema equipment manufacturers, exhibitors, dealers, and service companies from around the world. At the convention, Dolby was announced as the winner of the “Teddy Award”. This award is presented by the active dealer membership of the ICTA to the manufacturer who most closely exemplifies the principals of providing great products and service to the industry.
Frank Tees, president of ICTA, presented the award saying:

Dolby was recognized this year in part due to our support of customers during the period of Covid. The Dolby Studio, along with a bi-weekly email blast and other online events were initiated in 2020 to help Dolby communicate when in-person meetings were not possible. It was a painful time for our industry, and the Dolby team agreed to be honest, transparent, and work hard to minimize the impact of the global shutdown. We have continued in this spirit and Dolby is grateful for this recognition from the ICTA and our partners throughout the world.
